Tryouts Wins Top Honors in Virginia and NYC Fests

Tryouts was one of five shorts selected to screen at the 9th Annual CUNUFF at Columbia University in NYC at 7:00pm on Saturday, April 27. We took home 3 awards: Best Picture, Audience Favorite, and Best Acting. The film also won top prize as Best Narrative Short at the Virginia Student Film Festival on April 13, 2013.

Screenings in Florida and Virginia this Weekend!

Tryouts screens in the Comedy Shorts block at Sarasota Film Festival on Thursday, April 11. Director Lauren Ciaravalli and lead actress Sarah Jes Austell will be in attendance to introduce the film, participate in a Q&A with the audience and meet with the press. On Saturday April 13 Tryouts will screens at University of Virginia in competition in the Narrative category at Virginia Student Film Festival, a national competition of student films. Tryouts Selected to Sarasota Film Festival

Tryouts is an official selection of the 2013 Sarasota Film Festival in Sarasota, Florida! SFF, a much acclaimed Festival, is ranked as one of the Top 10 Largest in the USA. Tryouts Screening in NYC!

As a Finalist in competition in the Undergraduate Film category, Tryouts will screen in New York City at NYU's Fusion Film Festival on Friday March 8th! Check our "screenings" page and check back for more updates as Tryouts continues its Festival run.

Lauren Announces her Next Movie!

Lauren is thrilled to announce that pre-production is currently underway for her next movie, Dream Date. A romantic comedy set in New York City on Valentine's Day, Dream Date promises to be another funny, sweet, entertaining film. Most of the Tryouts crew will be reprising their roles in the production!
